P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate each other to achieve their highest aspirations.
The Minnesota Chapter A of the P.E.O. Sisterhood was organized in 1901. Since then more than 150 chapters have begun, representing 6,500 members. These chapters have sponsored thousands of women for educational loans, grants, and scholarships totaling many millions of dollars.
